Terms of Service

These Terms govern the purchase and use of DashEditor, a software product provided by Gulsten AS, a Norwegian joint-stock company (organization number 919 753 706, registered address Krokemoveien 103, 3244 Sandefjord). By purchasing a subscription or using the software, you agree to these Terms.
1. The service
DashEditor is a Windows application for visually editing AIM dashboard configuration files (.zconf2). A free demo version is available for download; paid subscriptions unlock the full feature set (save, insert, delete, new page, resize, XRK playback, channel rebinding).
2. License
Your subscription grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use DashEditor on one (1) computer for the duration of your active subscription. The license is machine-locked to a machine identifier you provide during activation.
You may not: share your license file, reverse-engineer the software, redistribute it, or use it to attack, compromise, or circumvent technical protection measures. Multi-machine use requires multiple licenses.
3. Subscription, price, and renewal
The standard subscription is €49 / year, billed annually in advance through Stripe. Prices are exclusive of VAT. VAT is calculated at checkout based on your country and invoicing details.
Your subscription renews automatically each year unless you cancel before the renewal date. Stripe will email you before renewal. You can cancel at any time from the link in that email or by contacting support@speedfreaks.no. Cancellation stops future charges but does not refund the current year.
4. Right of withdrawal (14-day refund)
Under EU/EEA consumer law, consumers have a 14-day right to withdraw from a purchase. Because DashEditor is a digital product that delivers a functional license immediately upon activation, you agree that when you complete activation (paste your machine ID and receive the .lic file), we begin performance of the service, and your 14-day right of withdrawal expires at that moment.
If you purchase but do not activate, you retain the full 14-day right to withdraw and receive a full refund. Contact support@speedfreaks.no within 14 days of purchase to request a refund under this clause.
5. Moving a license to a new computer
Each license is tied to a machine identifier. If you need to move your license to a new computer (replacement, upgrade, system rebuild), contact support@speedfreaks.no with your old and new machine identifiers. We will re-issue the license at no additional cost during the current subscription period.
6. Warranty disclaimer
DashEditor is provided "as is" and "as available". Gulsten AS makes no warranty that the software is free of defects, suitable for any particular purpose, or compatible with every device or configuration. This does not exclude warranties that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law.
DashEditor reads and writes .zconf2 files intended for AIM Sportline devices but is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or produced by AIM Sportline. Use with any device is at your own risk; always keep a backup of your original configuration.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gulsten AS's total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to DashEditor is limited to the total amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost data, lost revenue, or lost race results.
This limitation does not apply to: damages caused by gross negligence or intent; statutory liability under Norwegian Consumer Purchases Act where it cannot be waived; or liability for personal injury or death.
8. Intellectual property
DashEditor and all associated materials (source code, design, documentation, trademarks, logos, branding) are owned by Gulsten AS. "AIM", "RaceStudio", "MXG", "MXS", and other AIM product names are trademarks of their respective owner, AIM Sportline. No endorsement or partnership is implied.
9. Privacy
Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated by email to active subscribers at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the software after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you may cancel your subscription before the effective date.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your license without refund if you materially breach these Terms (for example, license sharing, attempted circumvention of license enforcement, or chargebacks without a legitimate basis).
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Norwegian law. Disputes that cannot be resolved by direct contact with support@speedfreaks.no are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Norwegian courts, with legal venue in the district where Gulsten AS is registered. Consumers domiciled in the EEA retain their statutory rights to bring claims in the courts of their home country.
